25th Anniversary of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women
The official commemoration event to mark the 25th anniversary of the UN Trust Fund to End Violence against Women (UN Trust Fund) is next Monday, October 25th, and we wanted to make sure that you received our invitation to join us.
Centered in the voices of civil society, women’s rights organizations and survivors of violence, the event will spotlight the key role these organizations play as drivers of the ending violence against women agenda and reiterate the need to continue resourcing their work at this critical time of collective recovery from the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on women’s rights globally.
Joining this event are high-level UN officials and prominent civil society and government representatives to reaffirm our collective commitment to championing local and grassroots interventions directly serving the needs of women and girls – with the exciting additions of UN Women Goodwill Ambassador Nicole Kidman, Actor and Activist Gabriella Wright, and Charlotte Bunch, Founding Director and Senior Scholar, The Center for Women’s Global Leadership, Rutgers University.
