DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n8th Annual General Meeting IIWR-MB\nIIWR-MB m
 embers and anyone interested in the work of IIWR-MB are welcome to attend 
 the organization’s 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on March 2.\n\nThis 
 year’s AGM will be held on Zoom\, due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions
 . The meeting will be approximately two hours long\, with roughly the firs
 t 45 minutes dedicated to our esteemed guest speaker\, Jacqueline O’Neil
 l.\n\n\n\nO’Neill is Canada’s first Ambassador for Women\, Peace and S
 ecurity. Her full biography is listed below.\n\nAmbassador O’Neill will 
 present a half-hour speech\, then will take about 15 minutes of questions 
 from the audience. If you have questions to submit to IIWR-MB in advance\,

 also vote on policies and motions pertaining to the year ahead\, and elect

 PHY:\n\n\n\nJacqueline O’Neill is Canada’s first Ambassador for Women\
 , Peace and Security. Appointed by the Prime Minister in June 2019\, her p
 rimary role is to advise Ministers of Foreign Affairs\, Defence\, and nume
 rous other departments engaged in implementing Canada’s National Action 
 Plan on Women\, Peace and Security.\n\nPreviously\, Ambassador O’Neill w
 as President of The Institute for Inclusive Security\, a US-based organiza
 tion that increased the inclusion of women in peace negotiations and relat
 ed processes\, including the reform of police and military organizations. 
 Over 13 years at Inclusive Security\, she supported the creation of nation
 al strategies and policy frameworks for more than 30 countries\, NATO\, t
 he OSCE\, and the United Nations.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nShe also w
 orked directly with coalitions of women leaders in Colombia\, South Sudan
 \, Sudan\, Pakistan\, and beyond. Prior to that\, Ambassador O’Neill w
 orked at the United Nations peacekeeping mission in Sudan and at Kharto
 um’s Ahfad University for Women. Along with former Lt. General Roméo
  Dallaire\, she helped found the Roméo Dallaire Child Soldiers Initiative
  to eliminate the use of children during conflict. She was also a policy a
 dvisor to Canada’s Secretary of State for the Asia-Pacific region.\n\nM
 ost recently\, Ambassador O’Neill was a Global Fellow at the Woodrow Wil
 son Center’s Canada Institute\, an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown Uni
 versity\, and a member of the Board of Directors of the Canadian Interna
 tional Council. She has a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from the Uni
 versity of Alberta and a Master in Public Policy degree from the H
