For the UN’s 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Based Violence Campaign, the IIWR-MB welcomed a panel of women leaders to share how they faced and fought against violence. About 100 people came out to this very moving event.

Voices included: Local – Sandra Delaronde and Hilda Anderson-Pyrz; Global: Ariana Yaftali and Kobra Arianta; Elizabeth Aluk and Pesquina Zemang; Nafyia Nazo.


Phan Pte San Win opened the day with a prayer and a moving story


The Bear Clan came too, to tell us how women are walking the streets to make it safer for everyone.


Senator McPhedran brought closing remarks, summarizing the presentations and showing the common elements to each.

Minister Rochelle Squires brought greetings.

Terry Duguid, Parliamentary Secretary for Status of Women also brought greetings.
