December 6th Annual Memorial – An Invite from Manitoba Status of Women
December 6 is Canada’s National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women in Canada. This year marks the 32nd anniversary of the École Polytechnique massacre. We invite you to view our annual Memorial, where we will gather to honour the Montreal women who were killed and to remember the Manitoba women who died as a result of violence this past year.
The National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence Against Women falls during 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an international campaign that runs from Nov. 25 to Dec. 10 to help create a culture where violence against women is not accepted.
This year’s livestream will take place on Monday, December 6th, 2021, in the Rotunda of the Manitoba Legislative Building, starting at 10:30 a.m. The event will be streamed live at http://news.gov.mb.ca and http://youtube.com/ManitobaGovernment.
