The Advocacy Committee is led by the Co-Chairs of Advocacy and is responsible for supporting and promoting the mission, vision, purpose and strategic plan of the IIWR-MB. It works in parallel and collaboration with the board, other committees, members, and the public to advance the work related to gender equity and justice through an intersectional lens. The Committee reports on strategies, challenges and needs related to activism and advocacy in the community. It seeks to promote the advocacy work of others, as well as fill gaps through advocacy initiatives created by IIWR-MB. Joining the Advocacy Committee
We are interested in getting more engaged and active members to join the committee to help us grow our reach and capacity! We use the work app Slack for the majority of our internal communication and Google Workspace for collaboration and planning. To be a member of the Advocacy Committee, you must first be a member of IIWR-MB. If you are not already a member, please see the Membership page of our website.
