Sudanese Women at the Frontlines of Resistance,
a webinar moderated by Jacqueline O’Neill, Canadian Ambassador for Women, Peace, and Security.
This event aims to provide a space for women activists to inform a global audience of their immediate struggles for democracy and equality, as well as their demands, needs and challenges following the military coup in Sudan. The discussion will cover areas such as: an overview of the political situation now and the main challenges to the transition from gender perspective, women/feminist movement challenges and resilience strategies after the coup, the women, peace and security status and the situation in conflict areas and women’s groups and leadership of resistance.
