Join us as we explore topics crucial to understanding the use of law in working towards gender justice.
The Legal System and Justice for Indigenous Women, Girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA Persons
Our second panel in the Gender Justice Now series will examine the uses and limitations of the legal system in advancing the rights of Indigenous women, girls, and 2SLGBTQQIA persons. It will feature Lynn Gehl (Writer and Artist), Beth Kotierk (Maliiganik Tukisiiniakvik), Naiomi Metallic (Schulich School of Law, Dalhousie University), and Alana Robert (McCarthy Tétrault), with moderator Breanne Lavallée-Heckert (LEAF National).
